As I drove through the massive iron gates of the Luton Hoo I was looking forward to seeing the Great Mansion. Huge trees lined the drive that must have been hundreds of years old. Then the stunning venue came into view.
It’s the former home of the Wernher Family of diamond miners who used to entertain royalty. The suite I was escorted to by a porter (who also carried all my kit!) was no ordinary suite! Queen Elizabeth II used to use this suite when she stayed with the Wernher family. The décor was amazing and I guess that now it must have been modernised but how amazing to being staying in the Queen’s former suite!
Ross and Jo chose an Autumnal Wedding theme. The bridesmaids dresses, flowers and accessories all had hues of browns, burnt orange and cream. The flowers were an amazing assortment of red berries, roses and leaves, and the Bride’s bouquet even had a small squash encased within it.
The hair and make up was very natural and the colours used on the Bride were soft browns and creamy peachy lip gloss. A nude base on the eyes with a darker brown on the inner corner and a shimmery taupe was used on the mid eye area. Brown gel eyeliner by MAC gave a soft definition and was smudged to soften the look. Jo’s hair was blow dried and given volume at the back the front swept to the side and the small pearl comb was pinned in.
I enjoyed being a part of the wedding preparations and making Jo and her bridesmaids up. Wishing Ross and Jo all the very best for the future!
